The Springfield Fire Department is seeking a fulltime EMS Provider to primarily perform non-emergency transfers as well as EMS emergency/911 calls.  Overtime opportunities exist and an EXCELLENT BENEFIT PACKAGE is offered!  Currently, this is a Monday through Friday position, guaranteeing you will be home every night.  If desired, this candidate may attend other trainings associated with emergency services which may include firefighting, advanced EMS licensing, rescues and any hazard we face as an all hazards emergency response department.  Minimum qualification requires an NREMT license with NREMTP preferred; however, EMT’s (Basics) are encouraged to apply.

PAY SCALE:           Based on performance, pay increases at 6 months and at 12 months after hire 

DESCRIPTION:       Under the direction of supervisors and in accordance with department rules, general orders, applied protocols, standards and guidelines with consideration to a collective bargaining agreement the EMS position will assume a distinct role as an EMS provider.  This role will include additional duties as assigned.  He/She will perform non-emergent medical transports, respond to emergencies and provide medical care to the level of their EMS license in support of the department mission.  The EMS provider shall perform a full range of activities in support of the all-hazard mission to serve our customers with excellence as our daily goal.
