Maintenance Worker - Parks and Recreation Department

The Town of Springfield, VT is seeking an experienced individual to fill a full-time Maintenance Custodian position to support the cleaning, upkeep, and general maintenance of Parks & Recreation facilities, including the Community Center, parks, swimming pool, ballfields, warming huts, trails, and related equipment. Key Responsibilities: clean and maintain the Community Center and park facilities; mow, trim, and maintain parks, fields, playgrounds, and trails; perform pool and ice rink maintenance; operate and maintain department equipment; assist with snow plowing and removal.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, dependable work habits, ability to work independently and lead small work crews, knowledge of maintenance equipment, tools, and athletic field care.

This is a non-exempt, Union position with an excellent benefits backage.
