Visitors are most welcome at Selectboard meetings. Regular meetings are held on the third floor of Town Hall (96 Main Street) on the second and fourth Mondays at 6 pm except for June, July and August when meetings are held once/month. Meetings that include an executive session or a public hearing may be scheduled earlier. Meetings can be attended remotely using the Zoom links, and are streamed on SAPA-TV.
Anyone wishing to address the Selectboard on a specific matter is required to make arrangements to appear on the agenda with either Selectboard Chair Kristi Morris or Town Manager Jeff Mobus before the Wednesday preceding each meeting. Emergency matters can be handled by requesting recognition by the Chair. Emergency items can be added to the “Additions to the Agenda” section of the agenda. Towards the end of the meeting there is always an item reserved for Citizens' Comments during which in-person or remote participants can address the Selectboard on any issue relevant to town government.
Town Hall is ADA-accessible from the first-floor/street-level entrance where an elevator is available. Ladies' restroom is near the second-floor entrance; men's restroom is on the third floor near the elevator. Agendas are posted on the Fridays prior to Monday meetings. Agendas are posted on the calendar section of the town's website and under the Government menu, on the bulletin board on the second floor of Town Hall, at Springfield Town Library, and in the vestibule of the North Springfield post office.
