The Vermont Secretary of State's office will be mailing General/Federal Election ballots to all active voters in the state.  Ballots are expected to be mailed between September 23, 2024 and October 1, 2024. It is recommended that voters go to their My Voter Page https://mvp.vermont.gov/ and confirm it lists a valid mailing address to ensure receipt of the General/Federal Election ballot.   You may also call the Town Clerk's Office at 802-885-2104.

Upon request, the Town Clerk's Office will mail you an absentee ballot for the Special Town Meeting taking place on November 5, 2024 regarding the disapproval of an ordinance To Restrict Discharge Of Firearms In Hartness ParkAbsentee Ballot Request A ballot for the Special Town Meeting will also be available at the polls on November 5, 2024.

Seavers Brook Road water project - roadwork

This project will impact travel on Route 11 (Clinton Street/Charlestown Road), Seavers Brook Road, and the Toonerville Trail during the last two weeks in September. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on Route 11 and at times completely closed on Seavers Brook Road although the roads will be reopened overnight. The Toonerville Trail will be closed opposite Seavers Brook Road beginning Sept. 30 until Kingsbury Construction finishes that section. See maps below. 
 
 
 

 

 
Town of Springfield- Selectboard - Notice of Public Hearing
Proposed Ordinance Change - Designate a portion of Wall Street as one-way and correct existing ordinance 

The Town of Springfield will hold a Public Hearing at 6:00 PM on Monday, October 14, 2024 for the
purpose of receiving public input concerning the Proposed Ordinance Change to designate a portion of
Wall Street as one-way traffic and correct errors and omissions in the existing ordinance. This will be a
hybrid meeting. The Public Hearing will be held at 96 Main Street, Springfield, Vermont. It will also be
possible to attend via Zoom.
